Authentically Brianne

Founding Product Manager | Digital, Creative & Operations

Authentically Brianne is a project where I serve as the Founding Product Manager, helping turn Brianne’s story, book, and speaking work into an experience that people can discover, engage with, and purchase.

My role spans technology, design, operations, and opportunity development. I built the website, designed the book cover, manage the technical pieces behind the project, identify speaking and partnership opportunities, support the book's sales and distribution, and step in wherever something needs to move from an idea into reality.

Because there isn't a large team behind the project, I've had to be comfortable owning the details myself. That means researching opportunities, building digital experiences, creating visual assets, figuring out how the book can be sold, evaluating potential partners and organizations, and solving problems as they come up.

What I Own

Build the Experience

I designed and built the website and manage the technical infrastructure that supports the project. I also designed the book cover and contribute to the visual and digital presentation of the brand.

Create Opportunities

I research and identify opportunities for speaking engagements, partnerships, events, grants, and other ways to expand Brianne's reach. I also handle outreach and help determine which opportunities are worth pursuing.

Own What Comes Next

A big part of my role is simply figuring out what needs to happen next.

Sometimes that means building something. Sometimes it means researching an opportunity. Sometimes it means solving a technical problem, creating a new asset, finding a potential partner, or figuring out how to turn an idea into something actionable.

There isn't a roadmap handed to me or a team assigned to every problem. I have to identify the need, determine the approach, and make it happen.

A Different Kind of Product Work

Authentically Brianne has given me the opportunity to practice product thinking without the structure of a traditional product organization.

I'm responsible for more than a backlog or a single product surface. I have to think about the entire experience — how someone discovers the story, interacts with the brand, learns about the book, decides to buy it, and ultimately connects with Brianne's work.

It's product management with fewer guardrails and a lot more ownership.
